Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Racking and aging in oak barrels for 14 months.
TASTING NOTES:
An attractive, deep ruby red with high intensity, brilliance, and purple highlights.
A well-balanced blend of varietal aromas and those contributed by barrel aging. Ripe black fruits, spicy and balsamic notes, light toasty hints. Complexity.
Firm attack, full-bodied and warm. Well-balanced acidity, rich and enveloping. Light mineral nuances on the palate and a finish with hints of black fruit. Well-structured, expressive, and persistent.
VARIETY:
Tempranillo, Graciano.
The Tempranillo comes from our vineyard in the Imaz area, at an altitude of 390 meters on a gentle slope. A saline and limestone-rich area with limited production.
The Graciano is grown on a plot with limestone-based soil; it is stony with a gravelly substrate. Both were planted 20 years ago.
