During the Hundred Years’ War, the English called Malbec wine “Black Wine” because of its dark color. Jean Luc Baldès wanted to evoke this medieval wine by creating New Black Wine.

Jean Luc Baldès is the owner and winemaker of Clos Triguedina in Cahors. Acclaimed by the press and awarded by international competition juries, he has earned his reputation as the “Master of Malbec.”
